El Infiernito
Muisca ceremonial site near Villa de Leyva, Colombia, where 109 pink sandstone monoliths stand in east-west rows. The alignment tracks solstices and equinoxes and appears to set out the Muisca calendar; the ground beneath holds ash, red ochre and maize offerings.
