Fujinoki Kofun
Asuka-period burial mound at Ikaruga, Nara, Japan, 350 m west of Horyu-ji's western precinct. A round tumulus about 50 m across and 9 m high, dated to the 6th century. Its horizontal stone chamber, just under 14 m long, was never properly looted: two adult men lay together in a house-shaped sarcophagus, wrapped in four layers of cloth. The grave goods, later a National Treasure, included a gilt bronze crown and sandals, horse tack, iron swords, four bronze mirrors and over 10,000 glass beads. National Historic Site since 1991. Coordinates: Wikidata 34.6118/135.7294 = OSM 34.6118/135.7298.
