Henderson Island
A remote, uninhabited raised coral atoll in the Pitcairn group, settled by Polynesians for roughly six centuries before being abandoned - likely once its lifeline of stone tools and supplies from nearby Pitcairn and Mangareva collapsed. Cave sites on its north coast preserve traces of that settlement; UNESCO lists the island for its near-pristine ecosystem.
