Keeladi

Settlement mound on the Vaigai in Tamil Nadu with brick structures, ring wells and inscribed potsherds, excavated since 2015. Radiocarbon put the occupation in the 6th century BCE, which would place literate urban life in the far south much earlier than assumed - a claim other archaeologists say needs the layers and the dated samples tied together more tightly.
