King's Trough
A submarine trough roughly 350 km long and up to 80 km wide in the North Atlantic, about 300 km east of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, plunging more than 4 km deep. It formed through plate-boundary migration and mantle-plume interaction between about 37 and 20 million years ago rather than by erosion, making it a tectonic feature that happens to outsize the Grand Canyon, not a river-cut one.
