Madjedbebe
Rock shelter in Arnhem Land, Australia, on Mirrar traditional land, holding over 100,000 excavated artifacts and more than 1,000 rock art motifs. Excavation places Aboriginal occupation here as far back as roughly 65,000 years, Australia's oldest confirmed evidence of human presence, though that earliest date remains contested by some researchers who point to possible termite disturbance of the dated layers.
