Osan-ri Site
Coastal Neolithic settlement on a lagoon shore in Yangyang, South Korea, occupied from around 6000 BCE. Level V, the lowest excavated layer, yielded round and rectangular pit-dwellings with central hearths alongside Osan-ri-style raised-design pottery, among the oldest manufactured pottery known in Korea. Later Chulmun comb-pattern layers followed above it. The Osan-ri Prehistory Museum now stands over the excavation.
