Pulemelei Mound
The largest ancient structure in Polynesia: a stepped basalt-stone pyramid on Savai'i island, Samoa, built up in phases over a settlement that radiocarbon dating traces back roughly 2,000 years, and interpreted as a central ceremonial site tied to the stratification of early Samoan chiefdoms.
