Santa Ana de Coro
One of the first Spanish towns on the South American mainland, on the arid Venezuelan coast. Its earthen architecture is unlike anything else in the Caribbean: indigenous adobe and wattle-and-daub built to a Spanish grid, cut through by the irregular streets of the German Welser period.
