Takamatsuzuka Tomb
Small round kofun in Asuka, Nara Prefecture, Japan, built around 700 in the last years of the Asuka period. Excavation from March 1972 found a stone chamber painted with the four directional animals, a star chart and processions of courtiers - the 'Asuka Bijin' women in Tang-style dress are the best-known Japanese tomb murals. Designated a Special Historic Site in 1973 and the murals a National Treasure in 1974; the paintings have since needed a long conservation effort. Coordinates: Wikipedia and Wikidata 34.4622/135.8065; no OSM node for the tomb itself.
