Tirta Empul
Tirta Empul is a Balinese Hindu water temple near Tampaksiring, built around a spring that feeds the Pakerisan river. Its central court holds long pools fed by rows of carved spouts, where worshippers bathe in a purification rite called melukat. The temple is dedicated to Vishnu and is said to date from the Warmadewa period in the 10th century.
