Visoki Dečani Monastery
A 14th-century Serbian Orthodox monastery near Deçan, Kosovo, founded by King Stefan Dečanski and completed as his own mausoleum - the largest and best-preserved medieval church in the entire Balkans, blending Romanesque and Byzantine architecture and holding over 1,000 preserved frescoes depicting the life of Christ and Orthodox saints.
